Information Architecture & Flow
Designing the navigational flow for this prototype was critical. I wanted the user to be able to intuitively navigate to the information they need. It was also vital to ensure that the information provided at each stage was relevant to the users specific needs.
Once a user has chosen the location they are interested in the following information is tailored to that particular location. In order to prevent information overload there are 3 separate tiers of information. As the user moves from summary, to forecast, to maps, they are offered more detailed data and customizability options. This gives them control.
